This is a picture of me and my two younger siblings Amaris and Alize. I also have an 17 year old older sister her name is Lesieli. This is what we do in our spare time.We have so much fun!!!!

First marching practise!!!!

Yesterday i had my first marching practise for the season.Unsurprisingly i am the tallest in my team!!!! I was really excited to start the new season.This season i have to step up and help the coaches train the little ones because i am now an old girl that has been in the team for 3 seasons.I am really excited because this nationals is going to be in Wellington but we have to practise hard because we are representing Wellington and we cannot give away the championship title to another team that has come to wellington.We want to keep our championship title for as long as we can!!!!

Book review!!!!

I am so happy that i have finished this book i have been reading this week.It is called The day after forever.It is a really sad book but i still like it because even though it is a sad book it is a really good book.It is about these four friends Eddie,Jeff,Toni and Courtney. Eddie is classed as the handsome boy in the book, Eddie is best friends with Jeff that is dying of Leukaemia.Toni is loud and really outgoing but recently in the book lost her twin brother which was really hard for her because they were really close.Finally Courtney, Courtney is being abused by her stepfather and she has a really hard life. The four friends end up going to a lodge with Jeff because Jeff wants to be at the lodge where his parents past away, so Jeff can be close to his parents when he dies.Toni doesnt know but halfway in the book finds out and she is devastated.Near the end of the book Jeff has to break the news to Courtney. Courtney and Jeff are really close throughout the book so Jeff doesnt know how to tell her without hurting her but eitherway she still got really upset.Near the end Courtney found out and was really upset.At the end it was sad because they were all in the hospital room and the three friends were gathered around the hospital bed spending time with Jeff for his last few minutes of his life.Eventually Jeff pasted away it was really sad i almost cried.

The book im going to try finish in a week that i am going to start now is the Hunger games!!!! I have heard it is a great book to read. I have seen the movie so i hope it is as good as the movie.I hope i finish it in one week like i finished The day after forever in one week.

Volcano

St Bernards science visit

Yesterday St Bernards came to our school to teach us some science.It was really interesting to learn about volcanoes,how earthquakes are caused and lots more.I had an awesome time because i love learning new things, especially if its science because science has always looked interesting.I really liked learning about what happens underground.I hope they come again because i had so much fun!!!!!

Storm that caused CATASTROPHE!!!!!!

We were away from school last friday due to a severe storm that forced people in doors and cut power to lots of homes. The following is a piece of writing created from that motivation:Thursday was a very cold day for Wellington residents.It was cold and windy. It was also raining really hard!!!! The wind and rain caused a lot of difficulty here in Wellington because we lost power and lots of streets were closed.The wind caused a lot of trees and power lines to fall down.It was a lot of catastrophe for Wellington residents, as a lot of people lost power and their trees were getting blown to the point when they fell down.Roads and schools were closed along with shops that lost power.It was very cold.Quite a lot of trains and buses were cancelled.
If this ever happens to you, my advice is for you to stay home and stay warm because it is a lot safer and keeps you from getting stressed out from roads being closed and buses being cancelled.

Hunter

This term in Kakapo , year seven and eight class  we are reading a book called Hunter by Joy Cowley. We also have to full up a whole exercise book about the book. I am doing my comprehension questions, im up to chapter 7. I hope I do an excellent job!!!!!
